ABOUT ME
& MY APPROACH

Who am I?

I am a French-Australian counsellor and psychotherapist providing therapy in French and in English, established in Valbonne (Alpes-Maritimes). Born in France, I have lived in Melbourne (Australia) for 11 years where I obtained my Master of Counselling from Monash University. I am also a registered member of PACFA (Psychotherapy & Counselling Federation of Australia).

I have experience working in a community centre in Australia, with disadvantaged populations from diverse backgrounds, from young adults to older persons, presenting with a diverse range of mental health issues. I have also participated in a program that aimed at reducing loneliness, using an innovative therapeutic approach to improving an individual's mental health and well-being by providing walk & talk therapy in a group setting.

Before becoming a counsellor, I graduated with a Master's of International Business and worked in the international shipping space and in project management in the academic sector.

My approach

I am a warm, compassionate and curious therapist who is fascinated by life’s rich tapestry and each individual’s capacity for growth in the face of adversity.

I am attentive to providing a safe and collaborative therapeutic relationship and is passionate about helping people find their voice, tell their story, process the meaning of these experiences and create lasting change. Drawing on my own experience of life transitions, I bring a personal perspective, and as a migrant myself, I relate to different cultural backgrounds. My work draws both on my training as a counsellor and my own life experience, including many years of living as an expat.

I offer a person-centred, and strengths-based framework, personalising my approach to each individual’s unique needs. It draws on a range of evidence-based therapies, including psychodynamic therapy, cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), mindfulness-based approaches, and psychodynamic therapy. I am particularly interested in listening not only to what is spoken, but what can often be unsaid or unspeakable.

While I have qualifications and expertise as a counsellor, I respect that you are the best expert on you. We learn about your perspective, strengths, and difficulties in an interested and non-judgemental manner. Therapy is therefore a process where we join our skill sets and collaborate on what is most important and effective for you.

Therapeutic interest

I work with a wide range of presenting issues but have a particular interest and experience in working with young adults, adults and older adults

presenting with:

  • Interpersonal and relationship problems

  • Identity and self-esteem concerns

  • Low mood, depression, stress and adjusting to life challenges

  • Post-natal depression/anxiety

  • Recovery from trauma, abuse and neglect (including family violence)

  • Work or study-related stress

  • Challenges linked with identifying as a member of the LGBTQIA+ community

I am dedicated to providing current, evidence-based treatment and regularly participate in supervision, training and professional development.
